About Us

Custom Jewelry Design

We create custom jewelry pieces using Argentium 930 Sterling Silver, Thai Karen Hill Tribe .999 fine silver and 14-22K gold (gold items are special orders in most cases and require a substantial deposit).  We offer bead sets from which you may select as the base for your custom jewelry and offer a multiple options, from single pieces to matched sets.  Please let us know how we can serve you!

Some of my pieces have very specific meanings for me. My Pink Ribbon series is in honor of my cousin Tonia, our mutual grandmother, my maternal grandmother, my friend Betsy Joiner-Flanagan and every other woman who has ever literally gone through the fight of her life with breast cancer. It's also for the family members of the women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.

I also make jewelry for other ribbon campaigns - if there is a cause that is near to your heart just contact me and I will be happy to create an item in the color of that cause's ribbon so that you may show your support whenever you wear it.  A portion of the sale price of all my ribbon theme items goes directly to that charity and I make an effort to use fair trade items whenever I possibly can.

We welcome custom orders and specialize in creating one-of-a-kind pieces of wearable art that include certificates of authenticity provided by EBSQArt.com.  These certificates register you as the owner, provide photographic documentation and proof of purchase for insurance purposes and add an extra layer of protection for your new purchases.  This is just another way we cater to those with discriminating tastes.

Jewelry has always been my passion, even as a young child.  I went to arts and crafts camp and made rings and bracelets out of telephone wire and glass seed beads, made chains of pull tabs (like anyone remembers what THOSE are anymore!) and thought Mom's jewelry box was the coolest thing on the planet.  When I was 9 we visited D.C. and the Smitsonian and the Gems and Minerals exhibit and that was IT.  I was hooked!

After a rather long career in the cosmetology field during which I got to see some unbelievably gorgeous jewelry I knew I had to follow my star (or at least the sparkly things here on terra firma!) and I went through the GIA Graduate Gemologist/Accredited Jewelry Professional course (already had a pretty good base from all the studying I'd done over the years) and started dealing in fine jewelry, usually vintage.  Then came the day that I purchased a scrap lot for a couple of the good jewelry pieces, one of which was an ear cuff... and I thought, "I can DO that!"

I purchased some wire and beads and began a lot of trial and error that finally ended in success - my EarThings line - when I came across lampwork beads.  My EarThings are still a great love but making jewelry with lampwork glass beads is just my Nirvana in terms of career choices.  Kind of like the Tim McGraw song... "I like it, I love it, I want some mo' of it..."

At first I purchased beads that appealed to me, then I started focusing on particular bead artists whose work I particularly admired.  I still work with these amazing artists today and hope that my jewelry does their incredible beads justice.

I hope you will all feel free to use the comments system to offer suggestions - I am always open to constructive criticism!
